sUMMARY OF JOB DESCRIPTION

MANDIANT seeks dedicated and experienced candidates to join our team of information security professionals. With Professional Services, Education, and Products divisions in the commercial and government sectors, our consultants have a unique opportunity to experience a wide variety of challenges based upon their skills and interests.

MANDIANT is seeking a talented and motivated Enterprise Deployment and Support Engineer to join our Products division. The successful candidate will primarily support Professional Services engagements in which MANDIANT product solutions are deployed. Travel to customer sites is required.

eSSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Build, install, configure, troubleshoot and support MANDIANT Intelligent Response™ (MIR), the industry’s leading Incident Response (IR) solution, in large and complex enterprise networks.
  • Provide on-site assistance and support to MANDIANT Professional Services consultants during IR and Threat Identification Program™ (TIP) engagements.
  • Conduct pre-deployment assessments and develop deployment plans and strategies to ensure successful Professional Services engagements.
  • Deploy and rapid-deploy to Professional Services engagements as needed.
  • Ability to lift and move a 50 pound computer.
  • Ability to travel domestically at least 30% of the time.
  • Provide technical support to MIR users via telephone, web and email.

REQUIRED SKILLS

  • Strong technical and troubleshooting skills with subject matter expertise in one or more of the following specialties:
    • enterprise software deployment and management
    • routing and switching
    • network security
    • QOS
    • Bandwidth Optimization
    • TCP/IP
  • Sound written and verbal communication skills.
  • Thorough understanding of network protocols, network devices, computer security devices, software deployment, software package management and system administration in support of enterprise use and best practices.
  • Mastery of Windows 2003 and XP.
  • Technical specialization in at least two of the following
    • Windows
    • Linux
    • Routers
    • Firewalls/IPS
  • Ability to successfully complete civilian and US Government background investigations.

EDUCATION

B.S. or B.A. in a technical field preferred. Experience and technical certifications may be substituted for a degree.

Additionally, the following qualities will distinguish candidates who are likely to excel in the position:

  • Technical understanding of incident response, computer forensics, network and host/application security.
  • Impeccable troubleshooting skills in complex network environments.
  • Microsoft Certified Professional/MCSE/MCSA certification(s) or equivalent(s).
  • Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP)/Network+ certification(s) or equivalent(s).
