The MANDIANT Difference

MANDIANT has become the brand in Incident Response and Computer Forensics.

Our people have, on-average, over ten years of information security experience in the Federal and/or commercial sector.  We hold Top Secret clearances and industry certifications.  We have come from government agencies such as the FBI, AFOSI, Navy and the U.S. Army, as well as consulting firms such as the Big Four, Booz Allen and Foundstone/McAfee.  We even wrote the book on Incident Response & Computer Forensics (McGraw-Hill, 2001, 2003).

Our offerings are technically-advanced and deal with the most sophisticated attacks.  We provide expert witness testimony for the Department of Justice and “cyber-swat” capability to federal law enforcement agencies.  We continue to train federal law enforcement agencies year-after-year through eight unique course offerings.  Our malware analysis and root-kit detection capabilities are unparalleled and result in an extensive database containing indicators of compromise used in combating the Advance Persistent Threat (APT) and Cardholder Data Theft within the Payment Card Industry (PCI).  Because of our unique matrix-style business model, we are able to share lessons learned from the Federal sector with the commercial sector and vice versa.  Further, it allows our professionals to become skilled in a number of areas inviting career growth and opportunity.

Our approach, as is our mission, is to become the strongest security company possible.  We do this by reinvesting in our people and our company.  Over the years, we have invested millions of dollars in product development to produce MANDIANT Intelligent Response (MIR).  We did this so we could provide our clients with a combined manual/automated enterprise solution to help them manage compromises efficiently and comprehensively.  We’re creating new ways to use our people and technology to solve sophisticated computer problems.  Our MANDIANT Threat Management Services (MTMS) allows clients to assess their environment on a regular basis to determine if they have indicators of compromise on their systems.  Overall, our clients (and even some of our competitors) recognize that MANDIANT is the company people partner with to “Find Evil and Solve Crime.”  With MIR, MANDIANT is redefining the discipline of Incident Response.
