Michael Malin is an Executive Vice President
and the CFO at MANDIANT and works in its New York office. Michael has fourteen years of consulting and business development
experience. As a member of the Executive Management team,
Michael is a key business driver focusing on the strategic
direction of MANDIANT while managing the Marketing and Business
Development efforts and the New York office operations.
Prior to joining MANDIANT, Michael was
the Regional Vice President of International for Foundstone.
He was responsible for all sales, operations and business
development initiatives outside of the United States and Canada.
His roles and responsibilities included generating, training
and managing international distribution channels for the sale
of software, services and education. Further, he was instrumental
in the development and revenue growth of Foundstone’s
education service line by establishing a key strategic partnership
with the world’s largest independent training company,
as well as other international regional education arrangements.
Michael has conducted business in Australia, China, France,
Germany, Italy, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, Singapore, Sweden,
Switzerland, Taiwan, Thailand, The Netherlands and the United
Kingdom.
Previously in his career, Michael worked
at PricewaterhouseCoopers where he spent over eight years
as a management consultant serving over one hundred clients
in a variety of industries including: insurance, government,
manufacturing, pharmaceuticals, apparel and retail. He spent
three years as a financial auditor before moving into the
firm’s Information Systems Risk Management group concentrating
on business continuity planning. After six years, Michael
focused his skills on merger and acquisition consulting where
a majority of his engagements involved pre-acquisition due
diligence and post-acquisition integration.
Michael has conducted numerous security
industry interviews as a subject matter expert on risk mitigation
with members of the television, radio, newsprint and trade
publications media in Australia, Belgium, Sweden, Taiwan and
the United Kingdom. Additionally, Michael was a theatrewide
instructor at PricewaterhouseCoopers for its business continuity
planning training courses.
Michael holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting
from Bucknell University located in Lewisburg, Pennsylvania.
He is a Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), as well
as Certified Business Continuity Planner (CBCP) and is also
a member of the MENSA organization.
