MANDIANT, the elite provider of incident response management services and solutions, has been named a finalist in SC Magazine Awards program for outstanding achievement in information-technology (IT) security. Its MANDIANT Red Curtain was named in the Reader Trust Award Best Computer Forensics Solution category of the competition.
MANDIANT Red Curtain was among more than 600 entries submitted in more than 30 technology categories. Finalists of the SC Magazine Awards program are determined through voting conducted by the publication’s readers. Readers vote for what they view as the solution that is most effective at helping them to address the problems for which it was designed.
“Our 2008 finalists, including MANDIANT, represent some of the industry’s leading lights, as judged by our readership,” said SC Magazine Editor-in-Chief Illena Armstrong. “Moving into 2008, our readers are recognizing that companies such as MANDIANT are helping them meet their security challenges.”
“MANDIANT Red Curtain is intended to make the lives of incident responders a little bit easier by reducing the time it takes to find evil,” said Dave Merkel, Vice President of Product for MANDIANT. “MRC is a powerful piece of software for responders to add to their arsenals, and we are proud that it has been recognized by the Reader’s Trust Awards.”
The annual SC Magazine Awards have recognized security’s key contributors and outstanding products for more than a decade. As the industry’s preeminent award program, individuals, brands and products shortlisted address not only the challenges prominent today, but also the emerging threat landscape of tomorrow.
Winners of this year’s awards will be announced at an exclusive awards event to be held in San Francisco April 8th, 2008.
