MANDIANT Will Conduct Training at Black Hat USA 2008, Teach Attendees to Find Evil and Solve Crime

MANDIANT's advanced persistent threat experts converge at Black Hat USA to provide training and discuss the latest trends to Find Evil and Solve Crime

MANDIANT, an elite provider of incident response management services and solutions, announced today that the Company will conduct several training sessions and host an event at Black Hat USA 2008 in Las Vegas.

MANDIANT experts Kevin Mandia, Kris Harms and Jerry Nguyen will conduct two-day training sessions, titled "Incident Response: Black Hat Edition", on August 2-3 and 4-5, 2008. Author and teacher Jamie Butler, Principal Software Engineer at MANDIANT, and Peter Silberman, a member of MANDIANT’s product development team, will conduct a two-day training session, titled "Advanced Memory Forensics in Incident Response", on August 4-5, 2008. The adversary knows that very few people can conduct memory forensics, but attendees will learn how to join that elite company, through live exercises and advanced discussion. MANDIANT software ninjas Nick Harbour, Michael Sikorski and Steve Davis will conduct two-day training sessions, titled "Malware Analysis: Crash Course", on August 2-3 and 4-5, 2008. Attendees of these sessions will participate in a rapid introduction to dynamic and static analysis of malware, which is encountered in nearly every significant recent incident response.
