MANDIANT, an elite provider of incident response management services and solutions, announced today that Matt Frazier and Jason Shiffer will deliver a joint presentation on how an enterprise software security product was developed utilizing open standards and platforms at the RSA Conference 2008, held April 7-11 at the Moscone Center in San Francisco, California.
Matt and Jason’s presentation, “Security is Testability: Product Transparency on the Shoulders of Giants” will be held on Thursday, April 10 at 10:40 a.m. PDT in Red Room 309 and will discuss how real-world, hands-on software developers leveraged open standards and platforms to build an enterprise security software product. The session will cover how this type of software was built and what technology tradeoffs were made during the software development lifecycle in order to build a secure product.
Matt Frazier has nurtured cutting-edge research into security products for 10 years, including video and global positioning system (GPS) integration with geographic information systems (GIS) for situational awareness. Prior to his current position, he applied computer vision to enterprise video for ObjectVideo’s intelligent video surveillance products.
Jason Shiffer has been designing and developing large-scale systems for over 10 years. His background includes developing intelligent routing and switching systems and engineering large-scale authorization management software for America Online’s production environment.
