MANDIANT Releases Intelligent Response 1.1
MANDIANT Intelligent Response™ (MIR) 1.1 Enables Rapid Evidence Discovery.
MANDIANT, an elite provider of information security products and consulting services, announced they have launched a new version of MANDIANT Intelligent Response (MIR). MIR 1.1 enhances an organization's ability to respond to computer security incidents. MIR 1.1 enables new types of data to be collected; facilitates faster data analysis; and improves platform stability.
MIR 1.1 contains several new features, including the ability to obtain user account information from remote systems; memory forensic enhancements that help identify rootkits and other malware hidden in Windows drivers; enhanced precision collection filters that dramatically reduce the amount of information computer security investigators have to collect; and significantly improved search performance.
“MANDIANT, a trusted name in the incident response services arena, has created MANDIANT Intelligent Response (MIR), an appliance that automates most of the time-consuming tasks…for large enterprises struggling to address their incident response needs,” Phoram Mehta said in Information Security magazine’s May 2008 review of MIR.
“MIR has proven to be an invaluable standalone product that enterprises can use to respond to computer security incidents. Additionally, we've leveraged the technology within MANDIANT’s Threat Identification Program (TIP) to strike against the advanced persistent threat we are witnessing among our Defense Industrial Base clients," said Kevin Mandia, MANDIANT President and CEO.
