MANDIANT Releases Red Curtain Software
Free software is designed to assist incident responders in the analysis of malware

MANDIANT, an elite provider of incident response management services and solutions, announces the release of their malware analysis software, MANDIANT Red Curtain (MRC). MRC is free software that evaluates files from potentially compromised computer systems, helping incident responders narrow the scope of an investigation quickly and efficiently.

MRC examines executable files to determine how suspicious they are based on a set of criteria. It examines multiple aspects of an executable file, calculating an overall threat score. This score can be used to identify whether a set of files deserves further investigation.
