Since 2006, MANDIANT has responded to dozens of sophisticated computer intrusions that have targeted the theft of cardholder data from compromised networks. These intrusions have led to volumes of ATM debit card and credit card fraud.
MANDIANT has responded to a number of these intrusions and learned that the attackers' methodology, tools and tactics were similar at each victim. To combat this threat and specifically help retail and financial service organizations that process cardholder data respond to these attacks, we created MIR Lite-CDT.
